American-born William Eggleston is one of most recognized photoghraphers. He established colour photography as legitimate artistic medium in art galleries and museums while had the first one-person exhibition of colour photographs in the history of MoMA.
Eggleston finds "the uncommonness of the commonplace" in each place he portrays. Inspired by the beauty of family snapshots, Eggleston looks at the everyday and the overlooked in order to reveal them as remarkable. Definitely a deeply american first-class talent.

These photos embody my mind's view of americana. From the snapshot-like feel to the seemingly commonplace subjects, his work evokes a feeling of life in the most unexpected and thought-provoking ways.
