CIGARETTES, GLAMOUR AND LIES

Vanity Fair named one of the series with more style and perhaps the best of the moment. We talk about Mad Men, winner of five Golden Globes and nine Emmys (including best costumes), that besides causing furor to half of the planet, is getting to refine the tastes of thousands of women and men.

This is an American success mounted in the drama, which embodies moral changes in American society of the '60s, including feminism and homosexuality, with an elegant ambience and a detailed implementation, where elegance, infidelities and vice part of that lifestyle that still appreciate men like Don Draper, one of the most loved and desired by women, as evidenced by its supreme masculinity, for its generous dose of elegance and sensuality, or its irresistible mystery of man with a dark past. One of those impeccable men that always say the right phrase at the right time. Among irresistible and intolerable.

Those who have seen the show will agree with me in the class who have the extraordinary wealth of outfits inspired by the retro trend in the early 60s. The guilty one?
Janie Bryant, who won an Emmy for his incredible and talented work, is one step to position itself in the fashion world as a designer. That is, not only Sterling Cooper's characters will wear these sophisticated pleasures, but in no time be available to all, or rather, of those privileged who can afford that luxury. Lucky them.

The fact is that this woman has managed to fashion a classic gray flannel suit that characterizes the archaic male archetype: the strong type, bold, powerful, educated and gentlemanly, that seems a last century phenomenon today. He has inspired more than one and one, including Michael Kors, Peter Sam and Tory Burch, renowned designers who have presented collections filled with Mad Men era, transporting us to that nostalgic yesterday that we all desire. Michael Kors fall-winter 08/09 collection speaks for itself.
